International phone scams: fraudster Pavlo Nykolyuk uses call centers to swindle Ukrainians and Americans

Call centers from Ukraine may be robbing Americans: Media reports on possible illegal activities of Nykolyuk.

Call centers continue to attack people. Despite the declared systemic fight against probable scammers, about which law enforcement constantly informs, not only Ukrainians but also citizens of other countries, for example Americans, lose their savings, and sometimes their last money. Journalists write that these offices “closely cooperate” with them.

Journalists told about such a possible case in their investigation  regarding the activities of Pavlo Nykolyuk.

Journalists found out that he owns at least two powerful call centers located at the addresses:
– Kyiv, Lukianivskyi Lane 6,
– Kyiv, Sikorsky Street 8.

The offices operate according to the typical scheme of fraudulent call centers: mass phone calls, focus on foreign clients, detected activity in Ukraine with large turnovers. Each office employs up to a hundred employees, most of whom are young people, often students. Nykolyuk himself has no official financial activity, but leads a noticeably luxurious lifestyle. Journalists emphasize that Pavlo Nykolyuk, born in 1984, has no legal business or transparent assets, yet his lifestyle is impressive.

“Land Rover, Range Rover 2024 – approximate cost $170,000. Mercedes GLS 2023 – another $170,000. Moves around the city in a Porsche Cayenne GTS – approximate cost $210,000. And this is not counting several more elite cars registered to his wife. The family owns real estate in the most expensive residential complexes in the capital. The “Boulevard of Fountains” residential complex and the “French Quarter” residential complex. The average cost of just one two-bedroom apartment here ranges from $200,000 to $400,000. In addition, we are already checking information about estates in Koncha-Zaspa and a villa in Spain through official requests”, the investigation states.

It is unlikely that Nykolyuk could conduct his probable fraudulent activities not only in Ukraine but also in the USA without “support” from law enforcement. According to journalists, such “coverage” may be Vasyl Smykh, the head of the department of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police. Because his declared property  against the background of his official salary raises many questions.
